Madi Westphal

It’s 6:15 in the afternoon and I am freaking out that I’m going to be late to this 6:30 photo session because I’ve never been to this location before… But as I continue driving, I hit this section on the road that has walls of trees. I look up. Leaves and branches block my view of the sky. It’s as if I’m in a tunnel… A tree tunnel… A canopy where the trees have grown over time, and their crowns spread over the road – the branches of the trees on one side touching the branches of the tree on the opposite side of the lane. It was beautiful!

I met up with Madi, a high school senior who is headed to FSU in the fall, and told her I passed a field with a perfect spot… in the middle of the road 😉

We took some shots at our first location with the perfect smell of the flowers blooming, then headed over to the tree tunnel and to frolic in the field with her puppy, Penny. Madi was fantastic. Her personality shined right through her brightly colored outfit and especially when I told her we could get some shots of Penny loving on her.

Madi, I send the best of luck with you to FSU and hope you met some wonderful people over the next few years as you study. Never let your light be covered, and GO NOLES!!
