“Whoa, where are we? Where is everyone? Why are the streets empty?”
“Oh, this must be the year 2020. Everyone is working from home because of that virus.”
Well, as promised again, we are traveling back to Storm and Christian’s engagement session. It’s October 2020 and even though the coronavirus has struck the world, my sister has found happiness in the one she will marry. Christian James Williams proposed to Autumn Storm Rhoden on September 19, 2020. Fast forward a month, and they want ME to take their pictures. What? I *emphasis* was able to take their engagement photos?!? I was ecstatic! This would be my first ever, real photography shoot.
As mentioned in the last post, with basically everything closed down, we decided to take pictures at my parent’s house. Even though this was my first real shoot and I was so nervous, but they still turned out better than I could have imagined.
The way they looked at each other. The way they held each other. They way they were just so comfortable with each other. These are the things that make photography easy. I guided them in a few poses and their natural chemistry took over (and Storm’s natural photogenic qualities are a plus 😉 )
To Storm and Christian, I’ve said it a million times before and I’ll say it a million times more, thank you for letting me take photos of you and your family. I’ve loved watching my photography skills grow, but even more, I’ve loved watching your family grow and being able to capture those memories for you. I love y’all!
